This year marks a very special milestone for Ultra Living Homes. 10 years of building beautiful homes, lasting relationships and a business we are incredibly proud of.
Founded by Peter and Megan Nastrom in 2016, Ultra Living Homes began with a vision to create a more personalised and flexible building experience, delivering homes that are thoughtfully designed around the people who live in them.
Ten years on, that philosophy remains at the heart of everything we do.
To celebrate the milestone, our team, families, industry partners, trades, suppliers, and invited guests came together to reflect on the journey so far, celebrate the people behind Ultra Living Homes and look ahead to what comes next.
Ten Years of Building Differently
From the beginning, Ultra Living Homes has always been about more than simply building houses.
We wanted to create homes with personality, homes that respond to the way our clients live, while delivering thoughtful design, flexibility, quality and a genuinely personal building experience.
Over the past decade, Ultra Living Homes has grown across South East Queensland, with an expanding collection of display homes, a talented team and an incredible network of trades, suppliers and industry partners who share our commitment to creating something special.
Along the way, we have had the privilege of helping many families bring their ideas to life and creating homes we are incredibly proud to put the Ultra Living Homes name to.
Building Through a Changing Industry
The past decade has also brought its share of challenges.
Like builders across Australia, Ultra Living Homes experienced the significant changes that followed COVID, from material shortages and rising costs to labour constraints, supply disruptions and an industry that was changing at an extraordinary pace.
There were many periods that tested builders, suppliers, trades and clients alike.
For us, those years reinforced the importance of adaptability and continuing to move forward even when conditions were difficult. We learnt, evolved and strengthened the way we work, while remaining focused on delivering the best possible outcome for our clients.
Those challenges are an important part of our story too, and reaching our 10-year milestone feels even more meaningful because of them.
A Decade of Design
Design has always been central to the Ultra Living Homes story.
Our display homes have given us the opportunity to explore new ideas, materials, finishes and ways of living, while inspiring clients to imagine what is possible within their own home.
From the warm, relaxed interiors of our coastal and contemporary homes through to more architectural and individual designs, each display represents our belief that a home should feel considered, functional and distinctly personal.
That commitment to design has also been recognised by our industry, with one of our proudest milestones coming in 2025 when La Casa Eden was named the HIA Australian Display Home of the Year.
Awards such as these are incredibly special, but they also represent something much larger. They represent the collective skill, care and dedication of the many people involved in bringing an Ultra home to life.
Celebrating the People Behind Ultra
Our 10-year celebration was, above all else, about people.
It was an opportunity to acknowledge not only what has been achieved over the past decade, but the relationships that have made those achievements possible.
Building a home is never the work of one person. Behind every finished home is a network of designers, estimators, coordinators, supervisors, trades, suppliers, consultants and support teams all working together.
Many of those relationships have been part of the Ultra journey from the beginning, and their contribution is very much part of our story.
More Than the Homes We Build
Looking back over ten years, there are plenty of milestones we can measure; homes completed, display homes opened, awards received and communities we have become part of.
But some of the moments we value most cannot be measured quite so easily.
They are the clients who have trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
The families walking through the front door of their completed home for the first time.
The team members who have developed and grown alongside the business.
The suppliers and trades who have supported us through both the exciting times and some of the most challenging periods our industry has ever experienced.
And the relationships that continue long after a home is complete.
That is why the theme of our anniversary felt particularly fitting:
A Decade Built Together.
Because Ultra Living Homes would not be what it is today without every person who has played a part in the journey.

The Next Chapter
While celebrating ten years gives us an opportunity to reflect, we are equally excited about what lies ahead.
Ultra Living Homes continues to evolve, but our commitment remains the same, to create beautifully designed homes, provide our clients with greater flexibility and deliver a building experience that feels personal from the very beginning.
There are new homes, new designs and new ideas already taking shape, and we look forward to continuing to challenge ourselves to create something better.
